Lithuanian Pavilion
at the 54th Venice Art Biennale

Exhibition Design

IMPLANT has been commissioned by the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) to design an exhibition space for lithuanian pavillion at 54th Venice Art Bienalle. The participating artist was Darius Mikšys with his project 'Behind the white curtain'.

The pavilion functioned as a gallery. It consisted of two parts – the reception/exhibition space and the storage space. These were divided by a half-open white curtain, behind which one could see the packed collection of works.
IMPLANT has designed and arranged the production of the reception desk and visitor benches as well as consulted and supervised the installation of other relevant structures.

The lithuanian pavilion at the 2011 Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition has won the Special Mention award.
